If you ask a youth hockey player about their future goals, you’ll often hear about their desire to play college and maybe someday pro hockey.   To play college hockey, it takes an average of 10 years of skating experience and a great deal of hard work.   Many don’t make it.   The hockey players at the University of Missouri took the same road, and their hard work has been clearly evident over the past few years.  

The team wahas always led with strong goaltending and defense as well as a high scoring forward line in the country.   And the team continues to grow.   In fact, it has grown to the point that players from across the country are contacting the program with interest in playing hockey here.   The team is also actively involved in area youth hockey programs through clinics and volunteering at practices.   These clinics help build a strong future foundation.    

But, with these goals and activities come expenses, and the Club is a not-for-profit organization primarily driven by volunteer efforts of coaches and students, and expenses include:  

§           Team Travel  

§           Buses for Away games  

§           Uniforms and Equipment  

§           Ice Time  

§           Officials  

These expenses are covered partially by the university club system and our players, and the remainder through private and corporate donations, gate receipts, and merchandise.    

We need your financial support and sincerely ask for a generous contribution towards continuing to grow the success of the Club.   With your help, we can see our goals through fruition.   Your support will also eliminate the need to burden players with higher fees.   Your contribution entitles you to ad space within our game programs, game admission discounts, and a signed Mizzou Hockey team picture/poster.
