I played goalie the first two seasons of the Mizzou Hockey Club's existence 1975-76, and 76-77, and prior to that our fledgling group that made up the Crossroads Sports team from Columbia. Great to see some of the names from the alumni reunion and guestbook entries. Gary Price, Craig McGonagle, and Dan Nee were particularly close friends and team mates. Glad to see the tradition lives on. I coached youth teams and played in adult leagues at the Quad City Sports Center (now Davenport River's Edge) up until just a couple of years ago when I finally hung up my skates. I stay involved with hockey as an off ice official with the Quad City Junior Flames, and helping with the youth goalie clinics. |
